The Del Mar Racetrack is a world-class Thoroughbred racing destination welcoming the industry's top athletes and California's most spirited partygoers during it's Summer (mid-July through early September) and Fall (November) seasons.

After a brief absent, family-friendly sporting excitement has returned to the Sports Arena in Point Loma with the San Diego Sockers (Indoor Soccer) and San Diego Gulls (Ice Hockey).

The City of San Diego Park & Recreation Department offers a wide variety of sports for youth and adults. Also, many independent sports groups and organizations such as Little League, Pop Warner, Bobby Sox and AYSO utilize the Park & Recreation Department facilities for their sports leagues.
